METANOIA ’18, a Two Day National Level Technical Symposium was conducted by the KMCT College of Engineering, Kallanthode, Calicut on the 22nd and 23rd of March ’18. The event was organized together by the Departments of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. Papers on various technical tracks like Communication System, Power Electronics, VLSI, Embedded Systems, Instrumentation and Internet of Things were received from the research scholars, students and faculty members from colleges in and out of Kerala.

The event was inaugurated by the Senior Architect of IBM Labs, Banglore, Mrs. Radha Srinivasan. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. K Moidu , Chairman of KMCT Group of Institutions. The welcome speech was rendered by Mr. Rajesh R, Asst. Prof followed by Principal’s address by Prof. Ranjith C Nair. The event was graced by Dr. Elizabeth C Kuruvila, Principal of KMCT College of Engineering for Women, HOD’s of different Departments Dr. N M Nagarajan, Dr. P Janardhanan, Prof. Sabiq P V, Mr. Swaradh P and Chief Consultant of IBM Labs, Mr. Nabil Muhammed. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Shameem P C, Asst. Prof. Of EEE Department. The dignitaries planted saplings in the college premises organized by the IEEE forum on behalf of World Water Day. Various technical and non technical events like cuit bug, technojam, brain buzzer and several surprise events were conducted on the second day. The valedictory function was presided by the Deputy Collector, Mrs. Hima K.
