The NSS Unit (Unit No: 188) of KMCT COE observed World Ozone Day in association with the IEEE Branch of the college on 17th September 2018. The program was inaugurated by the Principal Prof. Ranjith C Nair by planting a sapling in the college campus.
Various charts and banners were put up and an awareness class was arranged highlighting the main factors responsible for the ozone depletion, its detrimental results on all living beings and the steps that could be taken to save the planet from this deleterious plight. About 10 saplings were planted in the college premises by the NSS & IEEE volunteers. A poster designing competition was also conducted as a part of the event.
