The NSS Unit (Unit No: 188) of KMCT COE organized a Blood Donation Drive in the campus as a part of the NSS Day Celebration on 24^th September 2018. The camp was conducted in association with IQRAA Hospital & Blood Donors Kerala (BDK), Kozhikode. The event was inaugurated by Smt. Beena K, Chathamangalam Panchayat President and the chief guest was Mr. Ashwin Raj, Kozhikode District Program Officer.

A team of 9 doctors and nurses from IQRAA Hospital came for the collection of blood. One side of the seminar hall in the middle block was utilized for the medical check-up of potential donors and the donation itself while on the other side beds were provided where the donors could lie down and recuperate for a while before they left the venue. They were provided with juice and biscuits in order to reenergize themselves. 68 volunteers came forward to donate blood during the camp which included teaching & non-teaching staff and students. A Certificate of appreciation and a donation card was given to each donor as a token of gratitude.
