LEPTOSPIROSIS AWARENESS PROGRAMME at KMCT CE

Leptospirosis which started as an isolated public health problem of some of the waterlogged areas of Alappuzha and Kottayam districts in the 1990 has become a public health problem of all districts of Kerala since the attack of flood. In view of this communicable disease which has been causing a number of deaths consistently for the last few weeks in the state, the NSS Unit of KMCT COE (Unit No:188) conducted a LEPTOSPIROSIS AWARENESS PROGRAMME in the college campus on 3rd September 2018.

The programme was inaugurated by the Principal, Mr. Ranjith C Nair and the Programme Officer of NSS Unit, Mr. Shameem P C gave a small talk on the awareness of the disease. Leaflets and flyers were distributed to all the students and a poster exhibition was arranged in the campus regarding the methods to avoid contamination and the steps needed for the control of the epidemic. The student volunteers and the Assistant Programme Officer, Ms. Teena George actively coordinated for the success of the programme.
