Emphasis is given on the skill development of the students, so as they can cope up with the current trends in the market.Entrepreneurship is a major input in the economic development of our country especially in this era of globalization.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell KMCT CE is keenly interested in promoting entrepreneurial skill among students by conducting various activities. Entrepreneurship Development Club (EDC) of KMCT CE designs programmes to help students in strengthening and fulfilling their entrepreneurial motive and acquiring skills and capabilities necessary for playing entrepreneurial role effectively. EDC shows the way to the educated the potential youths to identify a suitable way of life through self-employment. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC KMCTCE) is a fully functioning student body registered under the Technology Business Incubator, Start-up Village. The club provides a platform for students with ideas to convert them into business reality. The stated aim of EDC is to foster a student start-up culture in the institution. Club activities include seminars by world-renowned firms such as Blackberry, classes on the basics of the Stock Market, sponsorship activities, talks with prominent start-up ventures and trips to events all over India like Hackathons and Entrepreneurship Conferences. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell, started in late 2013, already has 3 start-ups registered under it. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) in KMCTCE was relaunched and inaugurated on 30/01/2023 by Prof.Ranjith C, Principal, KMCTCE. The EDC lab of KMCTCE was also inaugurated on the same day by Mr. Deepak Balachandran– a start-up enterprise consultant. Entrepreneurship Development Cell at KMCTCE has taken initiative in conducting various technical programs to enhance and generate future entrepreneurs from KMCTCE. An interactive session on ‘Building Entrepreneurship Skills in Students’ by Mr. Deepak Balachandran- a startup enterprise consultant, an expert talk on ‘Information Security & Ethical Hacking’ by Mr. Karthik Kalathil- a senior information security consultant at Wattlecorp Cyber Security Labs, a practical session on Virtual Reality by Mr. Akshay Jose-our second year Computer Science student are some of the highlighted events conducted by EDC KMCTCE so far. Many more workshops and seminars will be conducted in near future to boost the technical skills and bring young entrepreneurs from KMCTCE. Our aim is to develop young entrepreneurs by providing them with necessary skills, trainings, proper guidance and motivation.
