KMCT College of Engineering (KMCTCE) has its own active Training and Placement cell that provides valuable opportunities for the students to make their journey from classroom to corporate world a supervised, monitored and continuously assessed affair.
In today's competitive job market, only academic study is not sufficient to fetch a good job for which we also organize orientation programmes for the young engineers aspiring for appropriate placements in the industry. The skills a student develops during orientation programs like communication, time and project management, problem solving, resume writing skills, interview skills, general etiquettes and team building skills helps them a long way in shaping their career.
Training & Placement Cell at KMCT is active in:
· Providing non-academic input to the students by means of Personality Development Workshops, Guest Lectures, mock Group Discussions and interviews etc.
· Generate awareness in the students regarding future career options available to them.
· Upgradation of the student’s skill sets commensurate with the expectations of the industry.
· Organizing Educational tours and Industrial visits.
· Providing a platform for both the industry and the students for mutual association and employment.
The Institute is giving a great deal of emphasis for strengthening the Industry-Institute interaction. The Placement Cell’s mission is Career Advancement of students by building strong competencies, honing their skills and maintaining relationships with key recruiters. Placement Cell co-ordinates with the corporate and students to identify their need and endeavors to provide career planning and job seeking assistance to students.
At KMCTCE we provide excellent infrastructure to support at every step of the training process and maintain complete confidentiality as per the guidelines provided to us. The Placement Cell follows transparent placement policy and extends its invitation to companies interested in training and recruiting our students and provides all arrangements for the same.
The industries which approach the institute come under the purview of:
* Core Engineering industries
* IT & IT enabled services
* Manufacturing Industries
* Consultancy Firms
* Management Organisations
* R & D laboratories etc
The placement season runs through the course of the year commencing the last week of July through to March. Pre-Placement Talks are also conducted in this regard as per mutual convenience. Job offers, dates of interviews, selection of candidates etc. are announced through the Training & Placement Office.
The Placement Office is assisted by a committee comprising representatives of students from the under-graduate engineering streams. The committee evolves a broad policy framework every year besides a set of rules which are inviolable. Students members are closely co-opted in implementing these policy decisions.
Our students have been placed in companies like Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Mindtree, Accenture, iCalibrator, Allsec, Caterpillar, Mahindra and Mahindra, Indian Army and other MNCs
