Department of Computer Science and Engineering
The department of Computer Science and Engineering offers: a B.Tech degree  in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 60 students; a B.Tech. degree in Information Technology with an intake of 60 students  The admission is  based on state entrance examination and meritorious students from domestic and international sources.

Empower every student to be industrious, creative and quality conscious  in the field of Computer Science and Engineering / IT by imparting quality education and inculcating human values.


Vision

• To establish as a Center of Excellence in offering computer  education to enable them producing quality software systems for industry, business and research  
• To collaborate with Industry of all kinds  to get better exposure for the students on  industrial and business practices.
• To build and update infrastructure, to create an environment to facilitate research and skills enhancement for the students and staff alike.
• To empower the faculty members as a facilitators, guides and  mentors  to ensure that teaching-learning process is more effective

Computer laboratories
The department houses Digital, Computer Graphics, Microprocessor, Networking and  Database   computer laboratories which include:.

• Compiler Lab

• Internet Lab
• .Net/ J2EE Lab

Software tools available in the computer laboratories include all Microsoft software systems procured through a campus agreement with Microsoft Corporation
The internet lab has faculty for the students to refer and download academic materials. The college is in the process of enhancing its internet facility by procuring higher band width and latest technology from renowned service provider.
 

Institution-industry relation
Every year a large number of  computer science graduates are passing out from the institution. In order provide all of them with the necessary skills and expertise required for their employability, the institution is doing its best to facilitate the students exposure to industries in and around Kozhikode. As a part of the initiative, the students are taking up software development projects from few renowned companies. These projects are expected to be useful to the industry as well. Also the students get first hand experience in developing software systems used in different areas of industry and business. The students are also encouraged to learn the technology for development relevant to the current industry
We are inviting various eminent persons in the academic and research institutions and the industry to participate and share their thoughts and ideas. Our objective is to brainstorm on the issue of industry participation for creating a win-win situation for both institution and industry.
